The Role
Seeking a Lead Software Engineer with excellent mainframe technical skills to test and maintain high volume production platforms in the Recordkeeping & Operational Platforms domain of Workplace Investing Technology.
You will engage collaboratively with business and systems partners to deliver high quality and innovative software solutions. You are energized and hardworking to learn and grow with us in our digital transformation to build our future cloud platform capabilities to enable millions of Fidelity customers to better prepare for retirement while delivering the outstanding customer experiences.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
· 5-7 years of software QE experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
· Mainframe testing expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM
· Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
· support software releases into production environments
· Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe
· You are detailed and thorough with functional and regression testing
· Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus
· Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
· Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
· Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
· Proven leadership , analytical, problem-solving and quality assurance/testing skills to enhance and validate the quality of the software solutions
· Embrace flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs
· You bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills and seek to share that knowledge with your squad members
• Evaluate and recommend technology and automation frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
The Team
We are an agile squad that is part of the defined contribution recordkeeping platform. Working together and with other squads, we deliver solutions to our customers by aligning the right skillsets to their most critical business priorities. The Team is responsible for transmitting updates related to participants’ loan changes and contribution elections to payroll providers, ensuring the payroll systems are accurately synchronized.
