Description:

Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: Kim), North America’s largest publicly traded owners and operators of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use assets, is currently seeking Interns to join our collaborative, challenging, growth oriented team. We're seeking smart, driven candidates who are passionate about beginning a career in real estate.

This internship will involve working approximately 40 hours per week for a duration of approximately 8 weeks, with flexible start and end dates. Interns will be paid an hourly rate of $20 an hour.

Internship responsibilities may include:

Leasing

  • Any and all leasing tasks related to retail leasing

  • Shadowing the leasing team on any tours and outside meetings with brokers and tenants

  • Reach out to potential tenants via a Required marketing campaign for market vacancies

  • Budget Preparations for Leasing including data entry into related systems

  • Assist with preparing and running leasing reports

  • Enter deals into internal systems and track their status

  • Prepare leasing proposals for prospective tenants

  • Review and or research lease language, as needed

Marketing

  • Website updates for centers with B2C sites
  • Shopping Center description updates for Kimco website pages
  • Social media content collection for WA properties; photography
  • Content posting on Social Media for Kimco Regional IG pages and some FB and IG property pages; Scheduling
  • B2B eblast proofing for Leasing eblasts
  • Joining Marketing calls with agencies in social media, and evernts
  • Updating digital screens for 2 centers
  • Shadowing Sr. Director of Marketing on projects
  • Special project assignments
  • Support on PPTs
  • Canva - open notice announcement creations
  • Holiday prep planning assignments
  • Organization projects on Marketing items for Marketplace at Factoria
  • Signage inventory

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a business oriented major, preferably with a focus in real estate

  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn internal systems
