Job Summary
The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position to begin January 1, 2026. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.The first year Distribution of Effort will be 90% Teaching, and 10% Departmental service. The preferred candidate will have experience teaching both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses, including large lecture classes, senior capstone seminars, and online instruction. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will mentor undergraduate students and contribute to the Archaeology Field School. Demonstrated expertise in cultural anthropology, archaeology, international studies, and Latin American studies is required. Ph.D. in Anthropology is required.
