Job Summary

The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is pleased to invite applications for a full-time Lecturer and Supply Chain Program Director with a preferred start date of July 1, 2026. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 12-month, non-tenure-eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. A successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or be expected to earn one in supply chain management, marketing, or a related field by the start date. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent record in the classroom.

The typical teaching load for a Lecturer is 8 courses per year. Teaching responsibilities may include both undergraduate and graduate courses, and occasionally broader business courses depending on departmental needs. While this position has a significant portion of its time focused on teaching, it also has important administrative responsibilities, as well as service responsibilities. The anticipated initial Distribution of Effort will be 50% teaching, 40% administration, and 10% service.

The Supply Chain Program Director will lead and manage our growing Supply Chain Program. This includes:
  • Building and sustaining relationships with corporate partners, including identifying opportunities for sponsored projects, internships, and career placements,
  • Providing leadership for the department’s signature Supply Chain Forum, a major corporate-academic engagement platform,
  • Supporting the growth and administration of our Undergraduate Certificate in Supply Chain,
  • Collaborating with department leadership on the strategic development and promotion of our Master’s in Supply Chain program,
  • Helping to shape student-facing experiential learning opportunities that connect curriculum with industry needs.

Our department offers an outstanding research environment including a behavioral research laboratory, student subject pool, research and travel budget, and a high level of faculty collaboration.
