Job Description

Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) manages risk strategies across all markets and portfolios to minimize the company’s credit and fraud losses while promoting business growth and delivering superior customer service.
The objective of the Credit & Fraud Risk Control Management Exam Management team is to facilitate ongoing exams and audits, ensure exam readiness, and support timely and effective closure of findings across CFR. Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) is looking for a Manager of Exam Management to be part of a dynamic team focused on control management, which is embedded in the everyday operations of our organization. This position will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.

Responsibilities

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Manager, Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Exam Management will:

  • Facilitate the day-to-day internal and external exam management process, working across all CFR functions

  • Ensure CFR teams are informed and prepared for exams, including conducting pre-exam preparation with key contacts
  • Partner closely with exam-impacted CFR teams to provide timely, accurate responses to exam requests
  • Provide support and training for CFR Exam Management system of record tool(s)
  • Provide regular progress updates on exam activities to leadership
  • Facilitate alignment of exam conclusions, between examiner and impacted CFR teams
  • Support CFR Leaders with timely and effective closure of exam findings
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and drive alignment and escalate appropriately
  • Identify process improvement areas within roles and responsibilities, and drive adoption of improvements, including best practice adoption by peers in exam management team

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk, Oversight, and/or Internal Audit function)
  • Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and gain support from CFR and examiner partners with a keen eye towards driving consensus
  • Demonstrated experience with identifying and driving process improvement within roles and responsibilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and handle multiple workstreams and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to understand large complex processes and evaluate process assessment conclusions made by examiners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, risk management, or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MS) or certifications are advantageous
  • Experience within the financial services industry
  • Experience communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards is a plus
  • Experience managing one or more processes within Credit Risk or Fraud Risk Management lifecycle is a plus
  • Experience facilitating the operational risk exam management processes is a plus

Salary range

  • $89,250 - $150,250 per year
