The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled, data-driven professional to join our Data and Analytics Strategy team. In this strategic role, you will move beyond traditional reporting, collaborating directly with senior leadership to surface high-impact insights that inform and influence key decisions across OSG. You will be responsible for synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable intelligence, leveraging advanced analytics and visualization techniques to influence high-level business outcomes. Your work will involve close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to understand evolving business needs, identify opportunities, and drive data-informed strategies. In this knowledge and insights with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.).
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of Brokerage Operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data mining techniques is desirable.

Responsibilities include:

Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Conduct hypothesis testing and predictive modeling to support business objectives.

Data Collection and Processing

  • Extract and transform data from various sources.
  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Automate data collection and processing tasks.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Identify and address data quality issues and discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve data availability issues
  • Implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms.

Continuous Learning and Development

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics.
  • Engage in training sessions and professional development initiatives focused on enhancing both technical expertise and people skills, as well as deepening knowledge of brokerage operations
  • Share knowledge and insights with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning.

The Team

The Data Analytics and Strategy team supports the overall strategic direction of the organization. The team is responsible for oversight, management, and implementation of wide-ranging and broad-reaching efforts that advance both short- and long-term goals of the organization.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$127,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
