As we enter our third season as Portland’s G League team, we’re looking for a creative and skilled visual storyteller to join our team as theManager, Digital Design. In this position,you’ll be a key player in bringing the Rip City Remix brand to life across every platform. This is a hands-on, creative leadership role where design is at the core. You’ll lead the creation of visual assets and digital campaigns that shape how we show up to fans, partners, and the community. Reporting to our Senior Director of Marketing and Operations, you’ll oversee the day-to-day execution of design projects while guiding and mentoring a small but growing team of creatives.
Our ideal candidate is an elite designer with the ability tocreate compelling visuals across web, social, print, and in-arena platforms. You’reorganized, able to balance overlapping projects and timelines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. DAY-TO-DAY:
- Developandimplementdigitaldesignstrategy,includingcreatingvisualconceptsthat support the team's brand and message.
- Designandproduce assetsforavarietyofdigitalplatforms,includingtheteam'swebsite,socialmedia channels, and email marketing campaigns.
- In partnership with Senior Director, develop and implementintegrated marketing campaigns to promote games, events, and key initiatives, in alignment with team goals and target audience insights.
- Promotetheteam'sbrandidentity bycreatingandenforcingbrandguidelines,ensuringconsistent messaging across all marketing materials, and managing brand partnerships.
- Collaborate with the ticketing department to develop ticket promotions and support attendance-driving efforts.
- Overseeteamsocialmediaaccount(native), providing strategic guidance and ensuring quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Build and implement fan engagement strategies including loyalty programs, fan-focused content, and using fan feedback to inform marketing initiatives.
- Analyzecampaign performanceanddigitalmetrics tomake informed decisions.
- Keep leadership informed on emerging marketing trends and present creative, data-backed solutions to enhance team visibility and engagement.
- Must be able to work all 24 home games and occasional events, including nights and weekends.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Proficiencyusinggraphicdesignsoftware,suchasAdobeCreativeSuite, and a strong portfolio of digital design work.
- Strongunderstandingofdigitalmarketing,socialmedia, and fan engagement strategies.
- KnowledgeofHTML,CSSandWordPressforwebdesignanddevelopment.
- Experienceanalyzingdatatomeasuresuccessofmarketingcampaignstoinformdecisionmaking.
- Excellentoralandwrittencommunicationskills.
- Strongabilitytothinkcreativelyandcomeupwithinnovativemarketingcampaignsanddigitalassets.
- Familiarity with major digital advertising platforms (e.g. Meta).
- Abilitytoworkindependently.
- Strongattentiontodetailtoensurehigh-qualitydesignandcampaigns.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, balance timelines, and see projects through to completion.
