The Enterprise Data Products (EDP) organization is part of the American Express Technology Group. EDP manages the Big Data Ecosystem which helps to centralize data across the company with built-in governance and democratization of access to a broad user community. The team is driving the future of our business by building products and platforms that delivers trusted and quality data for decision science processes, big data applications and analytical users.  We are looking for multiple Product Operational Managers across different work streams – Cornerstone, BI and Lumi. This role works closely with Business, Technology, and Infrastructure partners to address Initiatives across the enterprise, as well as adoption of training users onto Lumi.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary point of contact with business partners to help identify, prioritize and resolve requirements and/ or issues to help drive migration/enablement on new Google Big Data platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across multiple lines of businesses to brainstorm innovative solutions, capture requirements and benefits and drive a common future vision
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen with a focus on project management strategies and driving the delivery of projects in support of migration off legacy platform
  • Works well in a team environment or as an individual, has a natural curiosity to identify and solve problems through strong thought leadership and driving priorities
  • Self-starter that can identify and drive opportunities to ensure timely delivery of projects in conjunction with business partners and alignment with capability teams.
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Ability to come up with consider a variety of solutions to come up creative solutions for problems.
  • Ability to work with multiple product owners to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field, with a minimum of 4+ years experience in delivering large scale Big Data, Cloud and Digital product initiatives
  • Experience in data management solutions, including ETL, data warehousing, data ingestion, metadata management, data security and governance. Prior hands-on technology exposure will be a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of big data platform architecture, data management and newer developments in the industry
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can combine problem-resolution, ability to influence decisions and critical thinking to apply a business lens to design customer-obsessed solutions.
  • Prior exposure to working in a Cloud based environment and/ or the payments industry is an added plus

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
