Who we are
Jose Cuervo. 1800 Tequila. Dobel. Gran Centenario. Kraken Rum. Bushmills. If you've been in a bar recently, you've seen our portfolio. Proximo Spirits is a leading and innovative supplier in the Spirits industry with a portfolio of iconic Premium and Super Premium brands.
About the Role
You'll be the insights and thought partner to our commercial organization and to the wider business.
Our Off-Premise National Accounts and E-Commerce teams are your primary customer:
- Build the selling stories that win distribution, shelf space, and programming at national retailers
- Support joint business planning with distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion analysis
- Join key customer meetings and present alongside our sales leaders
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales, turning their questions into analysis and analysis into a clear recommendation
You'll also sit on a centralized insights team serving the whole company:
- Answer the questions our executive leadership and marketing teams bring you
- Track brand, category, and competitive performance, and flag what's changing and why
- Package it all so it's understood in one read
- Look for what's manual or slow and fix it, including building dashboards and self-serve reporting so partners can answer routine questions themselves
What we're looking for
- 5+ years working with sales, category, market, or consumer data in a commercial setting
- Experience with retail or market data such as Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, NABCA, retailer portals, or internal sales data
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear, compelling recommendations that people act on. Storytelling with data is most of this job.
- Willingness to present your work to senior stakeholders and customers
- The habit of asking "so what?" until the answer is genuinely useful
- Clear communication, and the instinct to adapt how you explain something depending on whether you're talking to a sales director, an executive, or a retail buyer
- A problem-solving mindset: you can take a vague question, scope it yourself, and come back with an answer
- Initiative to spot what needs doing and pick it up without being asked
Why this role
Your work goes in front of our executive leadership team and in front of key retailers. The team is lean and actively building its data foundation, so you'll shape how things get done rather than inherit a fixed process. The range of what you'll touch is unusually wide for a role at this level.
Key Relationships
- Internal: Business Intelligence, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, ELT (Executive Leadership Team)
- External: Distributor Partners, Syndicated Data Partners
Desired Experience, Knowledge, and Characteristics

- Expert knowledge and experience with Spirits or Retail syndicated resource information and applications (Nielsen, NABCA, Circana, Numerator, VIP, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of data manipulation, database design, foundational data analytics and data platform structures; ability to manage large data sets & databases
- Strong presentation skills, comfort in customer & executive facing environments
- Experience with dashboarding software (Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, Looker, etc.) preferred
- Familiarity with Database Management (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Access, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint Proficiency
