Job Description
The Manager, Media Operations is a critical operational leader responsible for managing complex media workflows across Originals, Affiliate, and Brand marketing efforts. This role ensures the accurate, timely trafficking and delivery of creative assets across all paid media channels while acting as the primary point of coordination between internal teams and STARZ’s media agency of record.The ideal candidate brings strong operational discipline, cross-channel media knowledge, creative judgment grounded in performance data, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced entertainment marketing environment.
Media Operations, Traffic & Execution
- Traffic creative assets and distribute accurate media instructions to appropriate internal teams, external partners, and platforms to ensure all campaigns launch flawlessly and on schedule.
- Manage communication and asset workflows across multiple concurrent campaigns for Originals, Affiliate, and Brand initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact between STARZ, the media agency of record, and internal Creative Services regarding asset requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Work closely with external media buying agencies to ensure media buys are executed efficiently and as intended.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with media sales teams and ad operations representatives across partners and platforms.
- Manage tune-in versioning across campaigns to support premiere windows, in-flight changes, and optimization needs.
Creative & Asset Strategy Integration
- Create, maintain, and evolve media specification documentation across all channels including TV, Digital, OOH, Print, and Audio.
- Apply expertise in video ad specifications (dimensions, file sizes, rich media capabilities, tagging limitations) and TV clearance/traffic processes.
- Partner closely with Creative Services to ensure media placements and creative assets are strategically and synergistically aligned.
- Provide creative recommendations and asset-mix guidance to internal teams informed by historic performance data and media learnings.
- Support creative allocation decisions across platforms and campaign phases (launch, sustain, finale).
Campaign Monitoring, Reporting & Collaboration
- Participate in campaign reporting meetings with agency and internal stakeholders, contributing to creative performance discussions and allocation recommendations.
- Support delivery monitoring, flagging pacing, creative, or trafficking issues, and escalating resolutions as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Media Strategy, Originals Marketing, Brand, Digital Insights & Analytics, Finance, and Creative teams.

Technical & Functional Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (formulas, links, charts, graphs), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong understanding of media workflows, specifications, and operational processes.
- Ability to apply organizational policies and procedures to routine and non-routine situations.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to perform business math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence and present information clearly to groups.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in media operations, media planning/buying, or trafficking (agency and/or client-side).
- Preferred experience across: broadcast and cable television; radio/audio; digital and online media; out-of-home; and national and local print
- Experience within the cable, streaming, or entertainment industry strongly preferred.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel required.
Compensation
$85,000 - $95,000
