Responsibilities:
- Develops positive relationships through frequent and substantial 1:1 coaching to establish and document goals and objectives for personal and professional growth. Inspires team members to attain goals and pursue excellence. Ensures that team members, under direct supervision, follow established procedures, practices, and policies for all areas. Oversees and manages direct reports to run the business.
- Serves as the brand ambassador within the assigned territory through building strong partnerships with the media, businesses, and local community.
- Leads the team of Field Marketing Partners and/or Managers to ensure activation of brand sales opportunities and execution of efforts at market and unit levels
- Develops strategy for generating sales opportunities at the regional and market level and aligns with leadership.
- Implements marketing strategy, management, and execution for the assigned territory.
- Monitors program activity from Field Marketing Coordinators and/or Managers and provides status reports to leadership.
- Reports on Local Store Marketing (LSM) tools and program needs to leadership.
- Measures, evaluates, and reports on the success of marketing programs and the impact to the business and recommends adjustments for increased success.
- Provides all budgeting support for the Field Marketing Partners and/or Managers, as well as budget management accountability at the regional level.
- Recommends media opportunities (outdoor billboards, media-based sponsorships, etc.) based on store needs and store environment.
- Provides rationale and recommendations for LSM Budgets on a quarterly basis.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience preferably in restaurant industry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Visio (as applicable)
- Proficiency in Workday (as applicable)
- Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate decisions while motivating assigned staff
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Working knowledge of employment laws relating to employee relations and personnel administration
Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
- Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
- Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
- Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary
- Must be able to travel occasionally both locally and long distances (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residence
