Communications Manager, Retail Leadership Communications
The Role
As a Communications Manager for Retail Leadership Communications you will work directly for the VP, Retail Leadership Communications, who oversees leadership communications for strategy, finance and HR across the Wealth & Brokerage business units. You will support the development and execution of internal communications programs that support business objectives and align with Fidelity enterprise priorities. While aligned to internal communications initiatives for this business, this role will also engage and support the needs of the external communications team, providing a unique opportunity to develop both internal and external communications skills.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree
3-5+ years of relevant experience
Financial services knowledge preferred
Constantly exploring new, creative, and engaging ways to engage employees with key messages across a variety of communications channels
Helping execute communications plans that articulate business priorities, strategies, and impact, in close partnership with team members and key internal stakeholders
Creating, proof-reading, formatting, and managing distribution of business unit and senior leader communications – including collateral for events, blogs, and social media posts – for a variety of internal and external communication channels
Partnering with in-house creative solutions team or outside vendors on video and design for communications programs
Managing multiple and simultaneous projects, ensuring that all efforts meet Fidelity’s high standards in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal, and compliance
Working across Corporate Affairs and with business partners (e.g., HR, Strategy & Finance, Product & Marketing, Meetings & Events, etc.) to align communications and messaging, as appropriate, with other business units and enterprise-focused teams
Measuring the effectiveness of communications programs to include creation and assembly of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc communications reports for senior management

The Team
The Retail Leadership Communications team is part of Leadership Communications organization within Communications. Working closely with the most senior leaders within the Fidelity Wealth and Fidelity Brokerage organizations, we develop communications programs that inspire the associates to connect with the strategy across each business and Fidelity enterprise. As part of the larger Communications team, we are able to connect our work to larger enterprise efforts that reach a range of internal and external audiences.
