How will you make an impact in this role?
The Credit Risk Oversight organization within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for independently overseeing and challenging the company’s credit risk taking and credit risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of credit risks within the company’s risk appetite.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional for credit risk governance. Responsibilities for this role include governance, reporting, working with stakeholders across the enterprise, regulatory support and building capabilities.
The incumbent will report to the Director, Global Credit Risk Oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance
oMaintain Credit Risk Management Policy
oMaintain credit risk standards, procedures (in collaboration with functional team) and templates (e.g.: reports, MEMO etc.)
oEnsure adherence to credit risk board approved plan and findings resolution
oConduct QC checks on 2LOD review reports
- Reporting
oQuarterly Aggregate Credit Risk Assessment Report
oReport RAF results and escalations and Control and Compliance (C&C) metrics
oMIS reporting to partner teams (e.g., findings tracker, Smart Monitoring alert reports)
oPerform ad-hoc analytics and reporting on credit findings (e.g., finding themes etc.)
- Internal Audit, Regulatory and ERM Support
oCoordinate with functional team on IAG and regulatory requests
oCoordinate and prepare meeting materials for quarterly interagency meeting
oMRA and regulatory recommendation remediation
- Capabilities
oSupport the Portfolio Analytics team to develop next generation MIS capability
oCollaborate with GRC capabilities team to support Archer and other foundational capabilities
oDevelop automated tools to write and QC review reports using LLM models
Experience and Background:
- Strong data & analytical skills
- Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of risk and financial management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to clearly articulate or interpret technical documents, regulatory guidelines, and complex project requirements in a concise manner to various stakeholders
- Outstanding multi-tasking and project management skills
- Superb teamwork aptitude, to work with colleagues and stakeholder across various AXP offices globally
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills;
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Self-starter and enthusiastic attitude
- Advanced degree in quantitative or a related field
Leadership Skills:
- Strong collaboration and influential leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and levels of seniority;
- Self-confident with a strong sense of integrity and the ability and willingness to challenge and be challenged;
- Ability to communicate oversight findings to credit risk peers, business partners, and senior executives;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
