Positions in Risk Management lead the development of credit, operational, enterprise, and fraud policies designed to profitably grow the portfolio, while ensuring excellent customer experience. These policies utilize mathematical models and other techniques to understand and predict customer behavior. At the manager level, the employee does not have a people leadership role but is often viewed as an emerging expert in the field. Focuses on resolution of complex problems. Conducts analyses, recommends changes to policies, and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Account Takeover and Authentication Team - within the Global Fraud Risk Management Organization – is responsible for balancing Account Take Over (ATO) losses with customer experience at each touchpoint across the customer lifecycle for our global Card customers. These customer touch points include account activities like Profile Maintenance, Card Replacement and Spend, Membership Reward redemption, and other non-card product activities across all channels (Online, Mobile App, and Phone Servicing).
The successful candidate will be part of a team of highly skilled professionals who design fraud risk strategy, build global capabilities and processes, define servicing policy and procedures, develop tracking and MIS, and ultimately be accountable for account takeover losses. To achieve this, it will be required to work closely with a range of business partners across Enterprise Digital, Product, Technology, Compliance as well as other Fraud Risk Management teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and support the implementation of fraud risk management strategies including the design of customer authentication and POS controls
- Lead the design and execution of the risk capabilities required to support new process enhancements
- Regularly review portfolio MIS and conduct regular case reviews to identify opportunities and drive effective risk strategies
- Partner with Decision Science, Fraud Servicing and Operations, Risk Capabilities, and other Risk strategy teams to build effective fraud controls to mitigate losses
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidate should possess minimum of 2 years of experience in Risk Management in the card industry or a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to use SQL, Python /MLS or other programming languages to draw insights from big data to design fraud solutions
- Highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong thought leadership & ability to drive results independently
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
