The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (“GRC”) independently oversee the company’s risk-taking and risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company’s risk appetite. GRC ensures the company operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations. We create and maintain the overall risk management framework while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic and Business Risk Oversight Manager to join our growing team. This role will support the development and implementation of our strategic risk management program, assisting in identifying, monitoring, analyzing, reporting and overseeing potential strategic and business risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, analytical, and communication skills, and a keen interest in understanding the evolving landscape of strategic risks to the Company.
- Strategic Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and business unit teams to identify and document current and emerging strategic risks that could impact the Company's goals
- Develop and apply risk assessment methodologies to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified strategic risks.
- Maintain and update the strategic risk taxonomy and material risk inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Oversight Framework Development and Implementation:
- Assist in the design and implementation of frameworks, policies, and procedures for the effective oversight of strategic risks.
- Contribute to the establishment of key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to monitor strategic risk exposure, drivers and performance.
- Contribute to the identification of appropriate measures for establishing and monitoring the Company’s risk appetite for strategic risks and corresponding qualitative considerations and limits.
- Support the development of reporting mechanisms to communicate strategic risk information to relevant stakeholders and committees.
- Support the establishment of a process to oversee the process and review the strategic plan of the Bank and provide credible challenge across the planning horizon.
- Risk Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor strategic risk trends and changes in the internal and external environment that may impact the organization's risk profile.
- Analyze risk data and provide insightful reports on strategic risk exposures, potential vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.
- Track the implementation and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and oversight activities.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with various departments and stakeholders to foster a strong risk-aware culture and integrate risk management considerations into strategic planning processes.
- Communicate risk assessment findings, oversight activities, and recommendations clearly and concisely to different audiences, including senior management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and projects related to strategic initiatives and risk management enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in strategic risk management and oversight.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of risk management methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Support internal audits and reviews related to strategic risk and oversight functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 5 + years analyst experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior relevant experience in risk management, strategic planning or a related analytical role
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA)
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory landscape, and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000), and methodologies.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
