Manager, Subscriptions & Revenue Management Analytics

Job Description

Starz is seeking a Manager, Subscriptions & Revenue Management Analytics to support data-driven decision making for various aspects of subscriptions and promotional offers on the OTT business. The role involves providing reporting and analysis of app and channels streaming data through the development of Snowflake tables, Tableau dashboards, Excel reports, PowerPoint presentations, and data science models supporting various stakeholders with empirical insights and advanced analytic solutions.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for experienced data analysts wanting to hone their technical skills, elevate insights generation, gain experience becoming a trusted partner and active participant in critical team decisions, and learn about the video streaming industry.

The Manager, Subscriptions & Revenue Management Analytics will be based in Starz’ New York City offices following the company’s hybrid work model entailing working in-office 4 days a week. This role will report to the Executive Director, Business Intelligence & Data Science.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building and deploying models that enhance consumer experience, drive customer value, and unlock revenue
• Play an active role in integrating I&A data into production systems to elevate customer experience and maximize its business value
• Identifying and recommending key reports to address evolving business needs
• Independently answer complex business questions by delivering meaningful insights supported by thorough and reliable data analysis
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, becoming a trusted partner and active participant in critical team discussions
• Develop advanced data science models designed to address business challenges

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of professional experience in an analytics role
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL through a SQL test, 3+ years of professional hands-on experience
• High degree of proficiency with business intelligence tools (preferably Tableau), 2+ years of professional experience
• Comfortable working with stakeholders in different departments across the organization, utilizing collaboration skills
• Solid familiarity with database models, experience working with unstructured data, and experience loading large datasets into databases
• Skilled at transforming raw data into actionable columnar datasets
• Knowledgeable about (at least some of) Python, Snowflake, AWS/S3, SageMaker, R
• 2+ years of professional experience in statistics and/or machine learning
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including explaining the business implications of data analysis/reports and developing data visualizations
• College degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or similar

COMPENSATION

$91,850 - $142,230
