Position Summary
The Analyst supports the Manager, Marketing Finance & Analytics by partnering closely with Brand Managers and Marketing teams to provide brand and competitive performance analysis. The Analyst will be responsible for reporting metrics using tools such as Nielsen, NABCA, and other systems on a regular cadence. The Analyst will produce standardized dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to support brand planning and decision making, including ROI metrics related to AMP spend. This role is a key development position for future Senior Marketing Finance Analysts and Marketing Finance Managers, with increasing analytical and business-partnering responsibility over time.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting, Analytics & Competitive Insights
- Provide brands with ongoing analysis of their performance through regular reporting and insights (monthly and quarterly reviews) and identify optimization opportunities
- Produce standardized reporting and dashboards for Marketing Finance routines, including spend summaries, program pacing, and key highlights.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and competitive/market analysis using Nielsen, NABCA, and other sources as requested by the Brand Teams and Manager.
- Prepare data-driven slides and exhibits that clearly illustrate trends, variances, and insights for leadership-ready presentations.
- Verify data accuracy, validate outputs, and maintain consistent definitions across reports (“single source of truth”).
- Supports basic ROI, productivity, and effectiveness analyses by preparing inputs, assumptions, and comparison summaries for marketing programs.
- Over time, assumes greater ownership of defined brands, programs, or reporting workstreams with reduced supervision.
Tools, Templates & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in developing and improving templates and tools to monitor key business metrics and to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Built trackers to measure KPIs, streamline reporting, and improve visibility into performance trends
- Support special projects as assigned, including process improvements and automation opportunities (PowerBI/reporting enhancements if applicable).
- Continuously identifies opportunities to automate reporting and improve dashboards to reduce manual effort and improve insight.
- Troubleshoot issues related to the recognition and tracking of marketing spend, maintaining strong data integrity and version control.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and build tracking solutions aligned with business goals
- Developing interactive dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, Power BI) to provide real-time visibility into performance and trends.

- Increase reporting efficiency by automating dashboards and recurring performance reports, reducing manual effort and turnaround time.

Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an Analyst role (finance, marketing finance, FP&A, or similar).
- CPG or beverage alcohol experience is a plus; competitive data analysis experience (Nielsen, NABCA) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Reporting & Automation, Data/Information Management Analyst roles with proficiency in business intelligence tools/technologies like SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau etc
- Strong program spend documentation and tracking experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication and strong internal customer service mindset; ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to travel as needed and willingness to work in the Jersey City, NJ office two/ three days per week.
The annual salary for this role is $100,000- $120,000. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience and skill set against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
