The Planner analyzes demand trends, monitors supply risks, and drives operational efficiency across the supply chain.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Scheduling
- Execute master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
- Maintain material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure accurate demand signals and timely replenishment.
- Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans based on changes in demand, production issues, or supply constraints.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance manufacturing schedules, cost, and working-capital targets.
- Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and cross-functional collaboration.
- Track and analyze inventory trends to improve accuracy and forecast stability.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and mitigate supply risks.
- Review, monitor, and maintain lead times and safety stock.
- Identify and resolve supply shortages, delays, and quality issues impacting production.
- Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and logistics to support daily operations.
- Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and demand fluctuations to internal stakeholders.
- Provide planning support for continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, BOM accuracy) within ERP/MRP systems.
- Use data analysis tools to monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, and schedule adherence.
- Generate reports and insights to support operational decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, inventory control, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; Excel skills required.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production setting.
- Must be a US Person.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
- Background in demand planning or S&OP.
- Familiarity with supply risk analysis.
- Travel: ~10–15%
