Fits, assembles, tacks and welds materials
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Uses and/or Establishes welding parameters, automated programs, and tests.
• Fits, assembles, tacks and welds materials (normally stainless steels)
• Cleans Welds
• Performs visual weld inspections, dye penetration tests, and/or leak checks
• Performs light and heavy electro-mechanical assembly.
• Assists the Production Supervisor in Monitoring and tracking welding performance and tests.
• Assists Engineering Department in welding equipment selection and purchase.
• Maintains and organizes welding equipment and materials
• Obtains and maintains ASME and EN (European) welder approvals.
• Operates all related material handling equipment as authorized including cranes, lifters, hand carts, etc.
• Requests, receives, stores and moves materials used by Welding
• Actively participate in cross training experiences as required by Management
