Military Education CoordinatorUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Military Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting academic, recruitment, and administrative operations on-site at the military education centers located at Randolph AFB, Lackland AFB, and Fort Sam Houston. Customer focus will be active-duty military, veterans, and respective family members throughout the academic lifecycle. The Military Education Coordinator reports to the Sr. Director, Military & Veteran Affairs.This position requires the ability to successfully acquire military clearance to access assigned UIW satellite office-current office locations are Ft. Sam Houston JBSA, Lackland AFB, and Randolph AFB.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Outstanding customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders.• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.• Strong presentation skills.• Requires ability to identify, solve, and follow through on problems.• Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.• Ability to work with limited supervision, make decisions, and establish work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and• Ability to effectively learn and use customer relationship management (CRM) tools.• Ability to effectively learn, understand and navigate multiple DOD policies.• Strong understanding of uniqueness of military connected students.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work ExperienceOne (1) year of student support experience in higher education, such as admissions, advising, registrar, student success, etc… or other relevant environment.Preferred Qualifications• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience working in a higher education environment with military connected student population.• Experience with Banner Student Information System or Degree Works.• Experience in any of the following areas: admissions, advising, student accounts, military credit evaluations and Military tuition assistance or VA education benefits.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsMust have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.Work HoursMonday through Friday 8am to 5pm with flexibility to include extended hours as needed, especially during peak periods and the planning and execution of events/workshops/ activities, to meet departmental goals.Physical Demands• Ability to lift up to 30lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events.• Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office and events materials.• Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 45 lbs.• Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.• Ability to regularly move about military base, UIW campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.Posting Number: AS2186POJob Type: Full TimeJob Category: Administrator (exempt)Desired Start Date: 11/03/2025Position End Date (if temporary):Reports To: Sr. Director of Military & Veteran AffairsSalary: $50,000 AnnualizedOpen Date: 10/08/2025Close Date:Open Until Filled: YesSpecial Instructions to ApplicantThis position requires the ability to successfully acquire military clearance to access assigned UIW satellite office-current office locations are Ft.
