Modeling and Simulation Specialist Lead

The Corps Solutions’ Site Lead interfaces with the Government Site Lead (customer) and other government representatives to determine the work to be done and priorities of effort. The Site Lead manages the daily work of the assigned team and reports to the Project Manager. The Site Lead has an additional duty as a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst and will primarily focus on MAGTF-level simulation systems and will cross train into other M&S simulation systems as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise the BSC/CAST contract work.
  • Task organize the team to concurrently support multiple events.
  • Manage the M&S Analyst cross-training plan to provide increased depth and flexibility
  • of the workforce.
  • Monitor short, mid, and long-range training plans to identify shortfalls and formulate
  • plans to enable effective support.
  • Assist the Government Site Lead to produce a monthly work plan for all team members
  • that details upcoming tasks and assigns responsibilities.
  • Participate in regular meetings with government representatives and active duty
  • leadership.
  • Manage all team member’s travel requests and claims.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports per the Project Management Plan.
  • Authorize or delegate as required, release of local deliverables. When required, review
  • select work products before they are delivered to the client.
  • Collaborate with management to make hiring recommendations.
  • Implement training programs to improve deficient areas identified by the customer/employees.
  • Qualify and maintain proficiency as an M&S Analyst in various systems.
  • Participate in Exercise Development as required.
  • Participate in and conducts reviews and structured walk-through of simulation events and training, operation orders and plans, and information gathering requirements.
  • Provide analysis during exercises and attends conferences and meetings at both the resident site and other locations off-site.
  • Translate operations orders into simulation databases.
  • Conduct pre-event tests and evaluation of supporting databases, and parametric data.
  • Conduct post-event critique and analysis employing various after-action review systems.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Former Marine SNCO or Officer with an operations background preferred.
  • Minimum of five years leadership experience.
  • Minimum five years of operational military experience, preferably with combat arms or intelligence operations background.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps doctrine, MAGTF-level planning, tactics, and command relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, technologies, and operational processes.

  • Awareness of advanced/emerging capabilities such as C5ISR modernization, AI enabled decision support, multi domain operations, and Project Tripoli.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work performed on site in a government facility.
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain focus.
  • May need to lift or move computers and related equipment.
  • Must work an unstable schedule—including holidays and weekends—during exercises; shifts may extend to 12–14 hours/day for 1–3 weeks.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
  • Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel (1–3 weeks at a time; sometimes longer).
  • Valid U.S. Passport required.
  • Must qualify as an authorized company driver (valid license, insurance, acceptable driving record).
  • Daily local travel may be required, including use of personal vehicle.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • NATO Secret security clearance required.

$87,000–$97,000
