LOCATION: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bryan office located at 301 N Main St, Bryan, TX.

PAY RATE: $13/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Lexitas is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our Records division in Bryan. You’ll play a critical role in keeping operations smooth and efficient by assisting with service preparations, document management, client mailings, and internal administrative tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform pickup/drop-off tasks for clients, including certified mailings and FedEx packages
  • Prepare and process service mailings, including specialized requirements for government entities
  • Assist with service preparation tasks including stamped copies and possession dating
  • Manage miscellaneous office tasks such as furniture moves, copier maintenance, and internal deliveries
  • Deliver all outgoing mail to the Post Office and maintain affidavit records
  • Support Data Entry Supervisor with subpoena preparation and communication with witnesses
  • Scan, organize, and archive documents in case files
  • Prepare mailings for various legal matters including landlord/tenant and VTL cases

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • A proactive attitude with a customer service mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
  • Reliable, efficient, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to lift, move, and organize office materials as needed
  • Comfortable using standard office equipment and basic software
  • Flexible, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach to work
  • Strong sense of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is not a supervisor position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
