NASCAR seeks a professional to join our team as a Part-Time Security Specialist.
This role supports the Corporate Security team by helping ensure NASCAR-sanctioned facilities meet established security standards. The Part-Time Security Specialist assists with facility assessments, event-day security operations, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe environment for guests, employees, and stakeholders during race events.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support security operations at NASCAR-sanctioned events, including on-site presence and coordination
- Assist with executive protection and special assignments as needed
- Respond to and document incidents, preparing clear written reports
- Conduct assessments of sanctioned facilities against NASCAR security standards
- Assist in maintaining and improving security procedures and protocols
- Support the protection of corporate assets and sensitive information
- Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and public safety agencies during events
- Communicate security-related information to internal teams and partners
- Maintain awareness of emerging security practices and technologies
Required skills / experience:
- Prior law enforcement experience (current or retired) required
- Ability to meet Federal HR 218 requirements
- Ability to maintain required certifications (firearms, medical, licensing)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong judgment and ability to respond effectively in dynamic environments
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors and in event-based environments
- Willingness to travel frequently and work weekends/holidays aligned with the race schedule
