Physical Requirements
Sitting for long periods of time mixed with extended periods of moving around the hospital; lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects less than 50 lbs on a regular basis; bends, twists, squats, and kneels frequently; hours spent in front of computer.
Shift

Job Summary
UK Healthcare’s Anatomic Pathology Department is seeking a Pathology Referrals Coordinator who is able to work well under pressure and function independently while coordinating the efficient and timely preparation of pathology cases for additional molecular testing.
This person will coordinate all aspects of the anatomic reference lab send-out testing and ensure appropriate specimen collection and handling, rapid result reporting, and act as a resource for lab users regarding the appropriate use of anatomic pathology reference lab tests.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Previous laboratory experience. General office/clerical duties and excellent customer service skills. Medical terminology, general clerical experience, Microsoft Office knowledge.

Preferred Education/Experience
BS with previous anatomic pathology lab experience and/or ASCP certification; Epic Beaker experience preferred.
