Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in Foot and Ankle Surgery, to join a fast-paced an dynamic team as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Clinical Title Series.

This physician role will provide clinical care and academic teaching based on the following job responsibilities:
1. Clinical Patient Care in the Inpatient and Outpatient Setting.
2. Supervise medical students assigned to the Orthopaedic surgical service.
3. Supervise and educate residents and fellows in the care of patients with Orthopaedic-related diagnoses.
4. Establish protocols and evaluate outcomes as related to Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle patients.
5. Serve on applicable University and College of Medicine committees as assigned.

The UK College of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is a strong, multidisciplinary team of more than 150 people dedicated to advancing Kentucky health care together. Our department encompasses 46 faculty members, over 25 staff members, and over 40 learners.

Our department is home to leading clinicians, educators, and researchers and is nationally recognized for advancing orthopaedic care through innovation, discovery, and education.

Each year, providers in the department care for more than 80,000 patients across 11 clinical sites. The department trains 43 residents and fellows across 4 accredited programs, while also contributing to the education of medical students and graduate trainees.

Our department is part of a college with robust research programs and initiatives, contributing to the advancement of health across Kentucky and beyond. Faculty, staff, and learners contribute to high-impact, transdisciplinary research projects and have access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology on campus.
