The scholar’s experimental work will include primary cell culture of human granulosa and theca cells and a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including RNA and protein extraction, PCR, Western blotting, and immunostaining, as well as bioinformatics analyses using multiple sequencing data. In addition to the bench work, the scholar will independently analyze and interpret experimental data, maintain rigorous data management and documentation, and prepare first-author manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals (as well as review and edit other lab publications). The scholar will present their findings at weekly and monthly laboratory meetings and at national and international scientific conferences and will contribute to the preparation of grant applications supporting the laboratory’s research program. The scholar will also help mentor junior laboratory members and share responsibility for routine laboratory operations, including inventory and reagent management, waste disposal, biosafety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
