Job Description
Fidelity’s Enterprise Cybersecurity team seeks a motivated Cloud Engineer to support Customer Protection Technology (CPT) and Fidelity Risk. You’ll demonstrate DevOps and SRE practices to deliver CI/CD pipelines, enable high-scale, highly available services, and drive resilience through automation and Infrastructure as Code. Our team focuses on reliability using standard methodologies in Resiliency Engineering, Automation, Observability, and Chaos Testing.
We value diverse technical backgrounds and offer opportunities for complex problem-solving. Ideal candidates have experience in Cloud, DevOps, and SRE, with a strong focus on automation and operational excellence.
The Expertise You Have
- 8+ years in technology roles with a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
- 5+ years building advanced CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and supporting distributed systems at scale.
- 1–2 years in AWS cloud development and migration; experience with resilient cloud platforms.
- 2–4 years in software development (Python, NodeJS, or Java) with emphasis on SDLC and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong Linux/Unix systems administration skills, including Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with distributed, highly concurrent service-based architectures.
The Skills You Bring
- Proficiency in automation using Python, Bash, and Shell scripting.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and test automation (Jenkins, Ansible, Docker).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix internals, system performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of AWS and DevOps concepts.
- Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry).
- Ability to maintain scalability, resiliency, and implement advanced observability practices.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management under pressure.
- Effective communicator with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and sharing procedures.
