The FI Data Solutions team within Fidelity Institutional Business Enablement Technology is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and energetic Principal Systems Analyst to fill a position within the Fidelity Institutional Business Enablement Technology data squad located in Smithfield, RI.

You will be responsible for providing leadership on a complex Territory Management Conversion & Client Infrastructure initiative that will deliver a strategic client and territory data experience that will support 2027 streamlined sales segmentation coverage models for our FI Sales clients. You will work on a dedicated data squad with CRM Sales to execute on this Phase 2 CRM workstream including end-to-end design and integration of client hierarchies, territory logic, and segmentation rules while collaborating with CRM to provide a flexible and scalable workflow that unlocks long term efficiencies for our Sales partners. We will expect strong leadership and influence in driving timely, data-driven coverage planning while reducing manual intervention and improving alignment across platforms.

The data infrastructure is going through significant growth and modernization, and this is an opportunity to take a leading role in shaping FI capability in this area. The work involves solution design, data analysis, innovation and collaboration across multiple groups to ensure a successful delivery to our customers.

The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership on complex systems analysis projects as well as providing influence with our business partners to develop recommendations that address business needs and opportunities. Additionally, the candidate will be skilled in negotiating business priorities through partnership with product owners and translating needs back to the team for timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and fall in love with the problem at hand, working through systems analysis and team collaborations to solve it.

This position requires an independent thinker and collaborator, who demonstrates analytical thinking, active listening and champions continuous improvement.

The Team

This position will work on a critical, newly formed data squad converting the existing Territory Management experience and client infrastructure while partnering with our existing Data Swarm (Bsharks & Tech Mavericks) and CRM Salesforce Delivery squads to form the data integration center for customer relationship management (CRM) within FI. We provide our CRM users with essential data for their day-to-day operations and support our clients. In addition, we deliver CRM team data to operational and reporting platforms, while building lasting and insightful relationships with our consumers. The team partners closely with the Fidelity Institutional (FI) Market Readiness Team, is innovative, diverse, passionate, self-driven and customer obsessed. The Expertise You Have

  • 10+ years of Systems Analysis experience, with a solid understanding of data intensive applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

  • Experience working in a Full Stack environment (UI, Middleware and Database layers).

  • Skilled in collaborating with business users, technical teams, and project managers to gather requirements, clarify data rules, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Your strong analytical skills and ability to solve issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience and judgment.

  • Demonstrated expertise interviewing and extracting high quality business requirements from stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience with Snowflake and PostgreSQL experience is a nice to have

  • Familiarity with Scrum methodology.

  • You love working with data and are confident in your SQL skills.

  • Your passion for data analysis with the ability to navigate and master complex transactional and warehouse databases.

  • Experience with RESTful Web APIs

  • Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills. Including strong judgement, issues management and problem analysis techniques.

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and facilitation skills while having attention to details.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be an organized, self-starter with a collaborative work style and customer service focus.

  • Facilitating requirements elicitation sessions with business partners and be the active driver in the backlog refinement process.

  • Executing analysis and evaluate systems on large and complex projects.

  • Encouraging the agile and cloud first methodologies. Including active participation in the daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings, sprint reviews and reflections.

  • Building a deep understanding of the domain and actively share that understanding through team mentoring.

  • Communicating effectively to influence team members and external groups, including navigating the organization to effectively accomplish tasks.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $68.93-$108.93 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
