The Role
Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join the Alternate Investment Team. You’ll help build and maintain high-quality solutions that support the Alternate Investment business. This role requires hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and experience with cloud-native architectures. You’ll be responsible for developing secure, scalable systems and ensuring operational stability in the cloud.
The Team
The Alternate Investment Development Team designs, builds, and supports solutions for Alternate Investments. We are a collaborative, innovative, and diverse group that follows Agile principles to deliver impactful technology.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer
- Strong RDBMS skills including:
- SQL querying
- Stored procedures
- Triggers, functions, views
- User and object privileges
- Proven experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as SQL Loader
- Experience in Linux/Unix environments and basic command-line usage
- Agile methodology experience and team collaboration
- Knowledge of:
- Core Java and Python (nice to have)
- Scheduling tools like Control-M (nice to have)
- Experience in database modeling and design
- AWS Cloud experience and familiarity with services like Amazon RDS (preferred)
- Strong data analysis and coding skills, especially in the financial industry
- Understanding of financial industry terminology and workflows
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude and a focus on delivering end-to-end solutions.

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
