Job Description:
The Role
QRIT is building a multi‑asset back testing and research platform for quants that powers hypothesis testing, strategy development, and production‑grade validation across Asset Management. We’re looking for a Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end front‑end architecture —designing performant, intuitive, and consistent UIs that help quants and PMs explore data, compare strategies, and make faster decisions.
You will set the UI vision, lead implementation in Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript), and partner closely with quantitative researchers, platform/backend engineers, and product to translate complex research workflows into elegant, reliable interfaces. Experience with modern Angular, reactive patterns, service integration, and front‑end performance will be critical for success.
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
8+ years building complex single‑page applications with Angular (v9+) and TypeScript, including component architecture, routing, and change detection optimization.
Deep hands‑on expertise with RxJS/NgRx (or equivalent reactive state patterns) for real‑time, high‑volume data UI.
Strong experience integrating with RESTful services (bonus: gRPC/WebSockets), handling pagination/virtualization, and front‑end performance tuning.
Demonstrated ability to convert complex domain problems into clean UX flows; proficiency with wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
Track record establishing UI component libraries/design systems and publishing distributable NPM packages.
Solid testing discipline (Jasmine/Jest/Cypress, TDD/contract testing) and CI/CD best practices for front‑end delivery.
Working familiarity with at least one mid‑tier framework (Python FastAPI/Flask, Java Spring Boot, or Node.js) and SQL fundamentals to collaborate effectively across the stack.
Excellent communication skills; can explain trade‑offs and guide design decisions with quantitative stakeholders.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
The Team
The Quantitative Development team is part of Asset Management’s Quantitative Research & Investment Technology group. We build high quality, robust, and highly-responsive solutions that are used to improve Asset Management’s efficiency and decision-making processes.
