Principal Full Stack Engineer, Release Management and End to End Test Lead

The Role

We are seeking aPrincipal Full Stack Engineer to lead our Plynk Release Management function and End to End Test Lead function at FCAT - Fidelity Center of Applied Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for the Release Management planning, support, and execution of this critical function as well as Leading the test efforts end to end cross Plynk space. In addition to strong technical competency, the position requires the ability to effectively work with a geographically diverse team, build and leverage customer and stakeholder relationships, and provide innovative thought leadership. The role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project.

Expertise and Skills you Bring

  • Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software

  • Experience in software development practices and procedures.

  • Passionate about data

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.

  • 8+ years of experience in Release Management and/or Operational Support leadership in the financial services industry.

  • Facilitate work prioritization based on business and technology needs.

  • Forecast, manage, and execute a release plan.

  • Experience in Web/cloud application releases is a plus.

  • Capable of partnering with and influencing individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery technologies and processes.

  • Significant experience in working on large, technical program portfolios.

  • Must bring flawless execution and results in a role of organizational navigator and collaborator.

  • Experience in Internal/External Cloud and Hybrid environments.

  • Experience in incident management and problem management.

  • Ability to understand the business criticality of various applications as they relate to complex business processes.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to understand a complex and global systems environment.

  • Working knowledge of basic investment terms and practices is desirable.

  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and/or Agile Project Management.

  • Financial systems knowledge.

  • Evaluate all functional requirements and map documents and perform troubleshoot on all development processes.

  • Good knowledge in working of REST APIs, ability to read documentation and make calls to read or write data using API.

  • Development of cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure. Certifications a plus

  • Familiar with logging and monitoring tools; DataDog, Splunk, etc. for analysis, observability, and alerting

  • Developing innovative features for our Digital Brokerage Services products that delight our customers

  • Actively participate with other specialists in design reviews, code reviews, and other standard methodologies

  • Ensuring designs meet performance, security, usability, and scalability requirements

  • Mentorship of junior team members and encouraging a culture of continuous learning

  • Working as part of a highly collaborative team to deliver an outstanding experience

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage his/her time, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

  • Proven ability to improve support processes and customer experience.

  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Customer focus and dedication to customer satisfaction.xcellent interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written English

  • Adept at version control tools GIT Stash, build tools like Maven.

  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies in strict timelines

  • Must be adaptable in a changing environment and be effective in many different business settings.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

  • AWS certifications preferred (AWS SysOps, DevOps).

The Team

As a Principal Full Stack Engineer in the Digital Brokerage Solutions Technology Domain, you will collaborate with product owners, developers, architecture, and application teams to build technical designs that simplify investing within our digital experience!

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-$181,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
