The Asset Management Technology, Graph Technology Team is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack/Machine Learning Engineer. You are passionate about building and deploying production-grade AI applications in the finance domain. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor, owning the entire lifecycle of ML-powered applications. You will collaborate closely with investment professionals (such as quants and portfolio managers) to design, build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end solutions that drive investment decisions.

THE EXPERTISE AND SKILLS YOU BRING

  • An advanced degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 4+ years of experience in a full-stack software or machine learning engineering role, with a proven track record of shipping end-to-end ML products.

  • Strong proficiency in building scalable backend services and APIs (e.g., using FastAPI, Flask, or gRPC) to serve machine learning models.

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using modern AI technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Vector Databases, Graph Databases (e.g., Neo4j), and Information Retrieval systems.

  • Deep understanding of the full MLOps lifecycle, including model evaluation, performance tuning, CI/CD for ML using tools like Jenkins, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring of models in production.

  • Experience with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated ML services.

  • Experience building and managing data pipelines and job scheduling using tools like Airflow, Autosys, or similar.

  • Proficiency in agile coding principles and expertise in writing high-quality, production-ready Python code.

  • Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience working with large-scale databases.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts and model results to non-technical audiences.

  • Passionate about staying ahead of the industry with the latest advancements in AI and software engineering, and eager to drive innovation.

  • Nice to have: Familiarity with a front-end framework (e.g., Streamlit, React, Vue) for rapid prototyping and building user interfaces.

The Quant technology team is at the frontier of Fidelity Technology and delivers scalable, innovative, industry-leading investment tools that enable Asset Management to achieve a global advantage. Our work in this groundbreaking initiative will contribute significantly to Asset Management's investment performance and scale and efficiency objectives.

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
