The Role
The Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) group is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven systems analyst to be part of its diverse, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of Fidelity’s Institutional Client Platforms and Products in the rapidly growing and evolving Wealth Management space.

The focus of this position will involve analysis and support of existing and emerging Managed & Advisory products and tools. The systems analyst will need to collaborate extensively with other squads within the same product area and domain as well as across the enterprise, collaborating with a varied set of business and technology partners. Additionally, they will work closely with a vendor defining integration details for a new business implementation. They will be a key member of an agile delivery squad and will be actively involved in helping lead all aspects of the technical product vision and design. The individual will gain a deep end-to-end understanding of the existing applications and business to assist in developing requirements and design for updated and emerging technology solutions.

The Team
FIT exists to enable our business partners to win their respective marketplaces by crafting, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and products of Fidelity’s Institutional business units. The FI Wealth Management Domain sits within FIT. The Managed & Advisory Solutions team that is part of the broader Wealth Management Domain team has a focus on creating & supporting the products that enable managed product distribution (both on and off platform).
In this role, you’ll work in Fidelity Institutional (FI) to provide systems analysis support on the fast-paced Managed & Advisory Solutions team. You’ll make a large impact on the organization by helping solve for and drive solutions to complex and important business problems for our clients.

  • Leading and contributing to new product technical visioning and high quality solutions
  • Understanding and supplying to scalable technical solutions
  • Examination and analysis of existing IT systems and business models to identify requirements, impacts and dependencies
  • Assistance in defining scope and work sequencing based on analysis of requirements of new and existing systems
  • Writing user stories which include concise and clear system requirements that will be used to implement any of the following: API creation/updates, new data stores/updates to existing data stores and user interfaces, specifications for new data feeds (inbound/outbound)
  • Producing use case documents and functional solutions to achieve project goals
  • Developing subject matter expertise for the product area and broader domain
  • Participation in the development and review of test plans, including end-to-end strategies
  • Participation in support of evolving and growing the Technical Chapter and Chapter Area
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • 8-10+ years of Systems Analysis experience within the IT field, financial services preferred
  • Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes, Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Technology-related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of API Development & Testing, AWS (Cloud) Implementation, Data Design and Workflow/Process Automation is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly-matrixed environment, involving multiple partners, technical groups, COEs, squads, product areas and domains
  • Experience working on new vendor implementations or similar demonstrated experience
  • Experience working in an environment with multiple applications and integrations
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple varied functional teams
  • You are a technical problem solver, who can work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, engaging, collaborating and supporting capabilities across-product areas and domains
  • Proactive, with a strong desire to learn and become a contributor to a highly functioning team.
  • Proven understanding of the financial services industry, attained through training and application experience.
  • Excellent social skills including negotiation, communication, leadership and influence.
  • Adaptable and agile, can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and make project adjustments to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Can navigate the organization & build strong networks in order to successfully accomplish your work.
  • Can successfully multi-task across a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Can effectively take the lead on managing/resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, team player who understands how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives.
Please see the pay rate range for the work location of Smithfield only: $57.00-87.95 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
