Program Coordinator-CHARISMUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Program Coordinator - CHARISM provides comprehensive coordination and administrative support in advancing the mission of the multi-institution program CHARISM (Catholic Higher Education Alliance for Rising Institutions in Service and Mission). The Program Coordinator - CHARISM reports to the Associate Provost for Academic Innovation and Partnerships.CHARISM is an alliance currently composed of four member institutions: University of the Incarnate Word, Dominican University, Universidad del Sagrado Corazon, and University of Mount Saint Vincent. The alliance promotes cross-registration, faculty collaboration, joint academic programs, and shared co-curricular initiatives for the benefit of their respective students. CHARISM strives to lead in bilingual higher education, shared-opportunity programming, and study abroad/study away initiatives.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.• Strong budget monitoring and financial tracking abilities.• Demonstrated experience collaborating across departments or with external partners.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general office technologies.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work Experience• Three (3) years of experience in program/project coordination in a professional, academic, or nonprofit setting, OR• Three (3) years of administrative support experience in a complex office environment.Preferred Qualifications• Proficiency in Spanish.• Understanding of and interest in higher education administration.• Experience with curriculum design, assessment, or accreditation processes.• Experience working in bilingual or multicultural education environments.• Experience with study abroad or study away administration.• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams.• Experience using Canva or similar tools for digital communication and branding.Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations• Must have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.• Must have passport and be current with COVID vaccines as required for international air travel.Work HoursMonday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals, especially during travel.Physical Demands• Ability to actively engage in program events for extended periods of time.
