The Role

The Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) Technology team is a small, growing team in Enterprise Services with a “Start Up” feel. We are seeking an upbeat, hardworking IT Project Manager to join us in defining the future for our organization. We will have a focus on modernizing and building innovative and cloud-native experiences, capabilities, and platforms in support of millions of customers who are seeking products that provide guaranteed income and/or protection. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for support across multiple business verticals in FIG. You will support one or more cross-functional teams, engaging with all team members and the Team Delivery Lead to reinforce and embed agile approaches and principles into the day-to-day work. We are an emerging group in Fidelity with strong strategic financial backing.

Key Responsibilities

  • 7+ years leading Software Engineering Teams
  • Strong analytical approach, enjoys teamwork but able to keep the team on track
  • Deep knowledge of project management tools – Jira, Jira Align experience desirable
  • Experience in developing and authoring solution requirements and specifications for complex software systems
  • Ability to mentor and coach the teams and individuals across divergent functions, experiences, and geographies
  • Ability to influence behavior without having organizational hierarchy
  • Demonstrated experience receiving and providing feedback – creating a culture of psychological safety
  • Experience in test strategy development and implementation/execution
  • Experience with release/install planning, communications planning, and partner engagement
  • Experience running Incident and problem management calls to successful resolution (including post-mortems, follow-up actions, etc)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and adapting to organizational changes
  • Ability to brainstorm with teams on solutions to address challenges and roadblocks
  • Ability to quickly adapt business processes, goals and objectives and distill them into well-defined User-Stories/requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technology-related subject area

The Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) Technology team is a recently established group aimed at providing transparent solutions and support for all of FIG’s business functions. We partner with internal FIG stakeholders and multiple organizations across Fidelity, most notably the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA) to deliver modern solutions that scale. It is an exciting time in this space with much potential for growth and innovation!
