Job Summary:
Manages vital projects for the College and oversees all aspects of projects. Responsibilities include the coordination of processes and staff to complete projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects. Establishes and executes effective communication plans. Prepares reports for the leadership team and Board of Trustees regarding statuses of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional related duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Meet with stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule, creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Meet budgetary objectives and makes adjustment to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to quality standards.
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Facilitating change requests ensuring all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the stakeholders.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Coordinate and collaborate with instructors, deans, and other educational stakeholders to review educational programming and curriculum to ensure projects are designed to meet their needs.
- Assist the Vice President of Operations in reviewing, processing, and finalizing all RVC contracts. This would include construction, equipment, or services contracts.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 to 9 years of experience in project management.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide for project management.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Experience seeing projects successfully through the full-life cycle.
- Budget management experience.
- Professional certification such as CAPM, PMP, PgMP, or PfMP preferred.
