Job Summary
Faculty member will be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant funded research and engage in scholarly activities (peer reviewed publications, presentations, etc.). Faculty member also will contribute to teaching and research training of UK undergraduates, medical students, UK graduate students and postdoctoral scholars associated with the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine including mentorship programs, courses, workshops, and supervised research. Faculty member will support and lead research initiatives within the Kentucky Research Alliance for Lung Disease (KRAL-D). Faculty members are also expected to engage in broader research and training initiatives across all 16 Colleges of the University of Kentucky, including Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Communication and Information Sciences, Health Sciences, etc.
Support the clinical research mission of the Division through various roles, including development and supervision of clinical protocols, accrual of patients to clinical trials, and participation in regulatory oversight programs for clinical research.
