Position Summary
The QC Chemistry Lead I performs and supports chemical laboratory activities for raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, finished products, stability samples, and other projects within the QC Chemistry Laboratory. This role conducts routine and non-routine testing, reviews analytical data, supports validation activities, and prepares quality documentation in accordance with established procedures and applicable cGMP/GLP requirements. The position also provides day-to-day peer support by assisting with training, work assignments, and review of completed work. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.
In This Role, You Will Have the Chance To
Perform sampling, sample login, analytical testing, data review, and validation activities for raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, finished products, stability samples, and other laboratory projects.
Complete routine and non-routine chemistry assignments while following approved procedures, specifications, safety practices, and cGMP/GLP requirements.
Prepare and update investigation reports, deviations, protocols, procedures, and other chemistry-related documentation.
Review laboratory data and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
Assist with orienting and training peers, assigning work, and checking completed work as needed.
Collaborate with laboratory leads, supervisors, peers, and internal partners to resolve day-to-day issues and maintain workflow.
Support additional laboratory and quality responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 4 years of related laboratory, quality control, chemistry, or testing experience.
Ability to follow established procedures and complete routine, repetitive assignments within defined parameters.
Working knowledge of laboratory documentation practices and the ability to apply sound judgment when resolving day-to-day problems.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with supervisors, leads, peers, and cross-functional partners.
Ability to work a non-standard schedule as business needs require.
Preferred Experience Includes
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or another science-related field.
Experience in a cGMP- or GLP-regulated laboratory environment.
Experience testing raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, environmental samples, or stability samples.
Experience supporting deviations, investigations, protocols, procedures, validation activities, or peer training.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Regular and predictable onsite attendance in a laboratory environment, with occasional work in production or manufacturing areas.
Light work that may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects.
Frequent standing, sitting, walking, seeing, hearing, talking, and use of visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.
Occasional handling, pushing, pulling, and reaching upward or downward.
Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; required personal protective equipment and safety procedures must be followed.
Low noise intensity, with regular work in a laboratory setting.
Pay Range- $30.28 - $36.05 /hour
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
