Job Summary

Research Fellows at the University of Kentucky are expected to engage in research and scholarly activities that support faculty-led, departmental, or sponsored research projects. Responsibilities will primarily involve research-related work rather than teaching or administrative support.

Typical duties may include:
  • Commit to ~25-30 hours/week
  • Conducting literature reviews and background research
  • Assisting with research design and project methodology
  • Collecting, organizing, and managing research data
  • Performing laboratory, field, clinical, or archival research activities
  • Analyzing and interpreting data
  • Supporting manuscript, presentation, report, or grant preparation
  • Participating in research team meetings
  • Coordinating research-related communications and project activities
  • Supervising undergraduate researchers on research tasks, as appropriate
