Position Summary: Our busy Oncology office is in need of an experienced PRN front desk receptionist. This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice. Must maintain a professional image in appearance as well as over the phone. Must also provide courteous and friendly service to all patients and contribute to building a positive work environment with co-workers. This position is primarily in Lehi, American Fork and Provo. This position may transition to full time but is not guaranteed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet patients, registration, appointment scheduling, telephone screening and any other activities associated with the front desk reception team.
  • Manages difficult or emotional patient situations in a professional manner. Responds promptly and professionally to patients' needs.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness when entering information in computer system.
  • Registers new patients by obtaining all pertinent billing information.
  • Schedules appointments and enters dates and times into computer.
  • Collects co-payments at time of service, receives payment on accounts, and reconciles daily cash reports.
  • Answers telephone promptly and courteously, transfers calls tactfully and politely, and gives accurate and careful answers.
  • Takes complete and accurate messages. Writes clearly and informatively using correct spelling and grammar.
  • Obtains signed statements from patients to protect clinic interests (i.e., HIPAA, Arbitration Agreements, Advanced Directives).
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate professional writing and verbal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as communication, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrate typing, math and computer skills
