Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.



Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; Variable 8:00am – 7:00pm (40 hrs/wk)



Job Summary

The registered dietitian in this position will provide specialized medical nutrition therapy for adolescent patients in the Eating Disorder specialty clinic, including those requiring a higher level of care. The role also supports the current dietitian in managing the growing caseload for both eating disorder and general adolescent medicine patients.

The individual in this role will deliver care as part of a multidisciplinary team and is expected to have chosen eating disorders as their primary area of clinical practice. The registered dietitian must demonstrate competence in eating disorder treatment and either hold, or be actively pursuing, Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) certification through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). Proficiency is expected across the domains outlined in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Standards of Professional Performance.

Duties include conducting nutritional assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress in coordination with the care team, and facilitating patient and family education. The dietitian will address disordered eating behaviors and support recovery using evidence-based interventions within the RDN scope of practice. The role also requires regular communication with the clinical team and families, as well as documentation of case management across various levels of care. It may also include supervision or mentoring of other RDNs as needed.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Must have experience working with patients from birth to 24 years of age. Experience working with patients and families with diagnosed eating disorders, obesity, athletes, and mental health diagnoses.
