The Role

Fidelity Charitable is seeking a strategic and influential Regional Philanthropic Consultant to lead charitable planning efforts across the Pacific Northwest. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex problems, driving innovation, and delivering high-impact philanthropic solutions through professional intermediaries.

You will be responsible for expanding Fidelity Charitable’s presence and impact by engaging with financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, and corporate professionals. Your work will help clients integrate charitable giving into their comprehensive wealth management strategies, ultimately increasing grantmaking both regionally and nationally.

  • Serving as a visible and credible leader in the territory, representing Fidelity Charitable’s mission and capabilities.

  • Influencing and operationalizing charitable planning strategies across a diverse network of intermediaries.

  • Delivering sophisticated consultation and analysis on tax-advantaged giving strategies, complex asset donations, and philanthropic planning.

  • Driving adoption of the Charitable Investment Advisor Program, generating referrals, and supporting client retention.

  • Collaborating with internal partners and specialist teams to enhance divisional processes and identifying new opportunities for growth.

  • Making strategic decisions based on long-term trends and business implications.

  • Leading cross-functional initiatives and managing resources across multiple work/project groups.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or designation (CAP®, CFP®) preferred.

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in field sales and strategic planning.

  • Deep expertise in tax, legal, and investment principles related to charitable planning.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems with functional and process implications.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to influential audiences.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable business impact.

  • High aptitude for learning, adaptability, and strategic decision-making.

The Team

The Fundraising organization within Fidelity Charitable (FC) is often the first call for all things philanthropic. Fundraisers tend to be the most visible face to both internal and external partners and donors of the organization. As the largest public charity in the nation and an integral provider of philanthropic services and planning, Fidelity Charitable is in the outstanding position to improve the personal philanthropic aspirations of the firm’s donors and the thousands of charitable organizations they are passionate about supporting. As a Charitable Consultant you will be responsible for collaborating with the advisors of current and future donors, growing the American tradition of charitable giving, and protecting the brand and mission of the organization.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
