Job Description
The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. They utilize the nursing care process, ensuring a continuum of care across various settings. The RN is responsible for overseeing the interdisciplinary plan of care, coordinating with the medical treatment plan, and actively supporting performance improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong commitment to professional growth and a passion for creating an empowering environment for patients.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
- Utilize the nursing care process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring alignment with the medical treatment plan.
- Provide leadership and support to other patient care team members.
- Participate in educational activities for professional growth and development.
- Perform Limited Laboratory Services, including specimen collection and processing.
- Document patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
- Ensure a culturally competent continuum of care for patients.
- Prioritize patient problems and set goals for patient care and health promotion.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
- 2 years of medical/surgical experience, with endoscopy, telemetry, and critical care experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- CGRN certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
