We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Cape May Court House Surgery Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional care to patients and their families. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and support to perform their duties effectively. - Provide exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience.
- Assist physicians and the healthcare team with surgical/endoscopic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall well-being during and after surgery, taking prompt action if necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and a positive surgical experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our surgical services.
- Uphold the values and mission of AtlantiCare Surgery Center, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for new hires.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest nursing practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
