Job Description
The Pool Registered Nurse Wound Care is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians. Your role involves utilizing the nursing care process, ensuring a culturally competent continuum of care across various settings. You will oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring it aligns with the medical treatment plan. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural evaluations.
- Identify and prioritize patient problems, setting goals for patient care and health promotion.
- Provide patient education tailored to identified problems and associated goals.
- Perform limited laboratory services, including specimen collection and processing, and maintain competency in these tasks.
- Document patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to the patient care team.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, addressing potential hazards and risks.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred, or commitment to enroll within 1 year.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS certification is required.
- WOCN Certification is strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience, with previous wound care experience being advantageous.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred, with training provided for this skill.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and education.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
