Job Summary
The Research Analyst is primarily responsible for the management and analysis of MRI research data. This includes checking imaging data for completeness and quality, identifying potential artifacts or abnormalities, and maintaining meticulous lab records. The incumbent will organize and integrate data into statistical software (e.g., SPSS), generate figures, and report progress weekly to the principal investigator. Proficiency with Unix bash shell scripting, Python, and the Windows Subsystem for Linux is essential, along with strong attention to detail and analytical accuracy.
In addition, the role involves managing Linux-based servers and network storage for MRI data backups. Responsibilities include ensuring reliable data backup schedules, maintaining system functionality on Redhat workstations, anonymizing datasets, and facilitating data access for lab members. The position also supports ongoing lab operations by scheduling participants for experiments, preparing materials, ordering supplies, and administering brief surveys. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Unix systems, experience with large datasets, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
