Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hrs./wk.); and occasional weekend hours.



Job Summary

This employee will be responsible for collecting all wastewater samples from Eastern Kentucky, which will be analyzed for respiratory pathogens including influenza, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2. Data will be reported to the Kentucky Wastewater Surveillance System (KYWSS) and the CDC’s National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS). This employee will also serve as the primary liaison with wastewater treatment plant operators and project managers at the Kentucky Department of Public Health. This employee will also be responsible for operating and maintaining our mobile, van-based lab.
