The Team
The FFIO and Corporate Services Risk team plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing key operational risk programs across the organization. Core responsibilities include external audit coordination, incident and event management, vendor risk oversight, and other strategic risk initiatives. Operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the team focuses on high-impact activities that protect Fidelity’s customers and strengthen trust in the firm. The Risk Manager partners closely with business leaders to identify and assess risks, develop innovative control enhancements, and foster a strong risk mindset.
The Businesses We Support
The position will primarily support Fidelity’s Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) business unit, which delivers essential middle- and back-office services for Fidelity’s retail and institutional products. These services include books and records maintenance, securities pricing, fund and security-level performance analysis, financial reporting, and tax operations. This role is part of a broader risk team that also supports other FFIO groups and several of Fidelity’s Corporate Functions, including Fidelity Real Estate Company, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Treasury, Procurement, and Enterprise Human Resources.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, ideally in Audit, Risk Management, Asset Management, or Fund/Middle Office Operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and/or project management experience
- Proactive and resilient mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Leading key operational risk programs such as incident and event management, external audit coordination, and compliance initiatives
- Engaging proactively with business partners to identify emerging risks, conduct assessments, and execute testing activities

- Advancing the use of data analytics and digital tools to improve risk insights and decision-making
- Collaborating cross-functionally to strengthen the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Risk Management program
