We are looking for a talented CAD technician to join our team in Evansville. The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled CAD technician with experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. In this position, the candidate will:
- Produce basic and detailed drawings and plans using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
- Work with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions.
- Organize files and project documentation.
- Read and interpret construction plans.
- Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs and materials lists.
- Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State and local rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties associated with the role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting and Design Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation; Experience working as a CAD Technician in Roadway/Highway design is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic working knowledge of construction practices and materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF Software.
- Must be able to read and write effectively with strong attention to detail.
