We are looking for a talented and experienced CAD technician to join our team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled CAD technician with experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. In this position, the candidate will:
- Utilizing design software to produce detailed, and sometimes complex, drawings and plans for Roadway design projects.
- Utilizing advanced CAD techniques and tools to enhance drawings.
- Working with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions.
- Organizing CAD files and project documentation and ensuring proper version control and distribution of files.
- Reading and interpreting construction plans.
- Assisting in the preparation of quantity takeoffs and materials lists.
- Applying a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State and local rules and regulations.
- Performing other duties associated with the role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. Experience working as a CAD Technician in Roadway/Highway design is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency with relevant design software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- General working knowledge of construction materials and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF Software.
- Must be able to read and write effectively with strong attention to detail.
